BOARD BIOGRAPHIES

DON F is President of the Board. He resides in Stratford, has a B.S. in Economics and serves part-time as a Peer Mentoring Coordinator at The Kennedy Center. Don facilitates a weekly depression support group, and he regularly makes presentations regarding personal experience with illness/recovery.

Thomas s is Vice-President of the Board. He is a resident of New Haven and serves as a Grant Developer/Writer. He has been responsible for developing over $10 million in funded grants for his employer, the WorkPlace, Bridgeport’s Workforce Initiative (One-Stop Center). Tom has collaborated with the Center for several years.

REV. BOB k is Secretary of the Board. He a resident of Stratford and is a clergyman. He is currently the President of Habitat for Humanity. He holds Bachelor, Masters, and doctoral degrees, and is an ordained Minister of the United Methodist Church. Bob is also on many community Boards (including the group overseeing the Transition House).

Larry r is Treasurer of the Board. He is a resident of Bridgeport and a long-time consumer of the Center—first, as a parent and now, for himself. Larry is a member of the King’s Pantry, which is affiliated with the HEALING TREE ECONOMICAL DEVELOPMENT, and he is active in church affairs. He has a disability.

JILL B is a resident of Trumbull and is the Director of Veterans Affairs with the City of Bridgeport. She has expertise in the areas of Veteran’s benefits and homelessness.

SEAN k is a resident of Monroe and is the volunteer Website Manager for DRCFC.  He is a graduate of Marist College and has a B.A. in Communications/Public Relations. Sean has previously served as a website manager for a firm in New Fairfield. He also participates in online community forums where he endeavors to mentor and inspire others. He has a disability.

GABY K is a resident of Trumbull and is the volunteer Coordinator of Information and Referral at DRCFC. She has extensive work experience with both physical and psychological disabilities. She has a disability.

Ethel M R is a resident of Ansonia and a member of the CT Works Southwest Disabilities Task Force. She is the Assisted Services Coordinator at Career Resources in Bridgeport.

KARL P is a resident of Stratford and is Assistant Director of Community Connections at the West Haven Community House. He has a disability.

ANDY S is a resident of Stratford and a student at Housatonic Community College. He has been affiliated with St. Vincent’s Special Services, Easter Seals, Sterling House, and the Disability Resource Center. He has a disability.

TIM W is a resident of Stratford and is a member of the Trumbull Civitan Club. He was responsible for contributions to the Center’s Computer Program from the Civitans. He volunteers with the Stratford Elementary Special Education Department and is self-employed.

ANTHONY L is a resident of New Haven and is the Executive Director of DRCFC. He has a disability.

STEPHANIE M is a resident of Milford and is the Assistant to Director for Administration. She has a disability.

VICTOR X is a resident of Monroe and is the Nursing Facility Transition Coordinator. He has a disability.

FRAN S is a resident of Stratford and is the Nursing Facility Transition Assistant (a VISTA position). She is the parent of a child with a disability.  

GLEN C is a resident of Hamden and is the Independent Living Advocate.  He has a disability.

JACK H-W is a resident of Newtown and is responsible for Resource Development.  He has a disability.

GABY K is a resident of Trumbull. She is a volunteer at DRCFC and is the Information and Referral Coordinator. She  and has a disability.

SEAN K is a resident of Monroe. He is a volunteer at DRCFC and is the Website Manager. He has a disability.
