DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTER'S
MESSAGE BOARD!!

• To people with disabilities who would like to communicate with and learn from other individuals with disabilities, the Disability Resource Center offers the use of a real-time and interactive Message Board.

• We note with pride that this is the first Message Board operated by any Center for Independent Living in Connecticut!

• The Disability Resource Center of Fairfield County welcomes all interested persons to participate in our DRCFC Message Board FREE of charge.

• This Message Board is an important way that DRCFC offers Peer Support, an essential aspect of Independent Living. DRCFC’s peer mentors provide support to people with disabilities by drawing on their own life experience with disability.

HOW TO USE THE MESSAGE BOARD:

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE ALREADY ACCUSTOMED TO USING MESSAGE BOARDS, YOU CAN GO DIRECTLY TO THE DRCFC MESSAGE BOARD AT THIS LINK:

IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST EXPERIENCE USING A MESSAGE BOARD, YOU MAY FIND THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS HELPFUL.

1.  You can reach the DRCFC Message Board from this link:  DRCFC Message Board.

2.  Click on the words: "SIGN UP" (Required to post to the message board).

3.  Type in the required information. Write down your username and password and keep in a safe place.

4.  When you login to the DRCFC Message Board, please go to the "Announcements" forum (or any of the other forums) and read the "Welcome Information and Posting Guidelines," written by one of the Center's Board Members, Sean Kelly. He is also the Administrator and Moderator for the DRCFC Message Board. The Message Board is provided free of charge by Yuku.com.

5.  Basic instructions on how to use a message board can be found in the "Site Help And Suggestions" forum.

6.  Begin posting your own messages on the Board by clicking the "New Topic" button. This will create a "new post" on the Board.  Have fun!!
