Assistive Technology Equipment Restoration and Demonstration Satellite Office in Fairfield County 

The New England Assistive Technology (NEAT) Center has opened a satellite facility in collaboration with the Disability Resource Center of Fairfield County. NEAT has received start-up funding from the Connecticut Tech Act Project to expand its durable medical equipment reutilization program and assistive technology demonstration program to the southwestern region of Connecticut. The establishment of this new satellite will now allow individuals with disabilities, their families and the professionals that serve them, local availability to the services of NEAT. 

Equipment Restoration Center

The NEAT/DRCFC  Equipment Restoration Center Satellite Office displays a selection of equipment from the NEAT Equipment Restoration Center inventory including:

     * Manual Wheelchairs

     * Walkers

     * Positioning Equipment

     * And More!

The Equipment Restoration Center at The NEAT Marketplace receives equipment through donations and provides consumers with gently used and reconditioned durable medical equipment at fantastic savings. Working in cooperation with suppliers of durable medical equipment, NEAT ensures that the equipment meets high quality standards and individual needs of the consumer.

*      Comparison shopping for products from numerous vendors.

*     Assistance with product research and information.

*      Regularly scheduled product demonstrations.

The NEAT Assistive Technology Demonstration Center at DRCFC provides a rotating display of assistive technology devices.  A sampling of devices that are available include:

     *  Aids to daily living

     *  Switches 

     *  Computer Access Devices

     *  Modified Toys 

     *  Communication Devices
